Disclaimer

Hey just so you all know, i am aware Miley Cyrus is in the movie and no, i do not care. She's not that annoying to me anymore. Also, there are a ton of typos in my last post. I apologize but i am on my little Net book and when you post pictures it adds all these words and numbers and stuff to what i have written and makes it really difficult to go back and make changes. :) I just wanted you all to know so you didn't think i didn't know how to type. I do. I just don't know how to use technology correctly. <3 love, Kaitlin

The Last Song

I'm sure you guys may have noticed (that is if you haven't given up on me and stopped reading my blog) that i have not posted a new book in the longest time. I am very sorry. I've been very distracted and truth be told, i haven't forgotten i just haven't actually finished any books in 6 months. That is right. So I decided i needed to just find a book that i could relate to. All the book about teen romances or magic just didn't seem relevant to me. It was like any time i read any of that stuff it just wasn't interesting. So after spending a lot of time looking i saw a trailer of The Last Song and in it they said "by Best Selling Author Nicolas Sparks" and i thought it might be worth looking into. Well i had no idea how relevant it would be for me.

The Last Song is about Ronnie who is 18 years old. She has had a rather difficult life because he parents split up a few years ago. Ronnie blames her dad for the split and because of it she quits playing piano (something she and her father shared a passion for) and became rebellious. She fights with her mom over everything and hates spending time with her little brother Jonah. Her mom decides to ship her and her brother off to live with their father for the summer and the idea of having to spend time with the man that walked out on them doesn't appeal to Ronnie. When she arrives she is distant and moody and even yells at him for playing piano thinking he was trying to get her to play again. Ronnie just sets out to have a bad summer
One day while at the beach a volleyball player knocks into her and makes her spill soda all down her shirt. The volleyball player apologizes but she dosnt even care, she's just mad. Later she runs into him again and introduces himself as Will. She really could care less about this guy because she can see she is clearly not his type. When Ronnie discovers a nest of turtle eggs outside her home she calls up the aquarium to have them protect it. Who does the aquarium send? Will. Will notices something special about Ronnie. She may look scary and rebellious on the outside but inside shes gentle and sweet and vulnerable and he soon begins to fall for her. She soon realizes he isn't the poor little rich boy who gets everything he every wanted handed to him on a silver platter like she thought he was. She realizes he was a sweet, caring guy who didn't date to have fun but dated only when he really could see being with someone for the rest of their lives.
Ronnie and Will start dating and create one of the best summers of their lives together. I wont say anything more cause i don't want to spoil it but stuff happens and i really want to get into all that because it deals with faith in God but if i go into that i spoil the whole thing and i don't want to do that. You just have to read it. Its incredible. I seriously sobbed through the whole end of the book. It was one of the most incredible stories i have ever read and i just opened my eyes to how our God is faithful in everything and how he never ever leaves us even when we go trough trials. God puts people in our lives to love us and to help us through stuff. I really really recommend this book. This was one of the best books i have ever read. Please, please! read it!
